Business Forum in Oshkosh to Focus on Hiring People with Disabilities

Lakeside Packaging Plus, a non-profit organization providing meaningful projects, employment and activities for associates with diverse abilities, is hosting a business breakfast and forum for regional employers. The event will be held at the UW Oshkosh Alumni and Welcome Center on February 18 from 7:30 – 9:30 am.

The purpose of the event is to provide hiring professionals with ideas that will result in employment successes that will change and define company culture while creating diversity inclusion.
A keynote presentation by Traci Jones, Corporate Director of Human Resources for the Kalahari Resorts and Conventions, will highlight best practices in hiring people with disabilities.
Jones successfully campaigned and won a state grant to make Kalahari Resorts Wisconsin Dells a Project SEARCH site. She is currently working on Kalahari’s second Project SEARCH site in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.

She is the Chairperson of the Kalahari Resorts Project SEARCH Steering Committee, and serves on the Board of Directors for Wisconsin Chapter of APSE (Association of People Supporting EmploymentFirst). With over two decades of experience, Jones consults with Employers across the State to create integrated employment opportunities.
Immediately following the keynote presentation, attendees will engage in a dialogue on disability inclusive practices
